Dear Mr Bertolacci,
I'm currently looking for some info and thought you might help. I'm engaged in a debate with a mate who said that "all olympic walkers could walk the tan faster than 90 per cent of all AFL players could run it".

Searching through google, I saw your post on tan times but cant seem to find any specific times. You mention that you have some insight and data in this area. I'm wondering if you could link me to it?

Could you please email me so that I know when you have responded? I would have preferred to do this by email but I cant seem to find an email addy anywhere on this blog.

Sincerely,
Nick Lord

[...] Posted by devo on July 18, 2008 Here is an interesting post from Loris Bertolacci on how we should be developing young sports people. In Volleyball all I see is skinny little frail kids jumping around and getting fitter BUT reinforcing very poor “fitness” and neuromuscular habits. Once ingrained hard to change. And Volleyball is a real sport. Played everywhere. Lot harder to succeed in than cricket and netball and AFL. So strength and conditioning at an early age is now in my opinion an absolute priority. We must have players ready at 16 to 18 to explode on the world stage. more@Loris Bertolacci [...]
